We have a secret you and I,
That no one else shall know,
For who but I can see you lie,
Each night, in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
Before I go to bed,
And feel the living warmth of you
And touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths,
And see, ahead of me,
Your small form racing with the wind,
So young again, and free!
And only I can see you swim
In every brook I pass.
And, when I call, no one but I
Can see the bending grass.

Bryn is a very striking, tri color lass. Her tri is a rich coppery color. She stands 19" at the withers.
Here is Bryn in Kim's words:
As A Puppy....
I may be a bit biased, but as far as I am concerned Bryn was the "perfect puppy". She has always been very biddable and easily guided. She learned very quickly when it came to all the basic puppy problems. House training, chewing, sleeping in her crate at night were all very easily accomplished with her. Show her once what you want, and she never again forgot.
Personality....
Bryn is a very serious little dog. I think of her as an "old soul". She has much knowledge for one so young. She takes anything that she feels is "her job" very seriously. On the flip side of that, she is also very sweet natured. She loves to be close to you as long as she is not working. She is very sensitive and has bonded very closely to me. When I go away for the weekend without her, my husband Rob says she mopes around all the time. When I get home she won't leave my side unless I have asked her to work. she won't even go and run with the other dogs until she is sure I am not leaving again.
Social....
Socially Bryn loves most everyone. She will approach almost all dogs she meets and knows when to be submissive and when she is in charge. She is very affectionate with the people she meets but can be cautious if approached to aggressively by a stranger.
Physical Appearance....
Bryn has a smoother, longer coat than the rest of her siblings, more like her mother Jynx. She has beautiful tri color markings with the brown being a very rich copper color. She is about 19" at the shoulder and weighs 30lbs. She will still fill out more as she matures. Bryn is the only puppy with prick ears in her litter, so she sometimes doesn't look like she belongs there at all!! I have been told that on the Whistlejack side of the family (mom) that there has always been one pup born that has prick ears. Interesting . . . I thought I had been slipped a German Shepherd puppy for awhile when she was growing up!
Working Ability....
We have never actually worked sheep yet, I live in the city, but she knows some of her herding commands. We did "away to me" and "come bye" as well as "steady", "walk up", "that'll do" and "lie down" as a puppy. she was a very quick learner. I think she would be very good with sheep if someone who knew what they were doing just taught her what they wanted her to do. She takes any job very seriously. She was "herding" my other two dogs when she was 8 weeks old.
In obedience she is also very quick to pick things up. She would like that particular sport to be more exciting in the performance part, I think. She wants to move more than she is allowed to in obedience. She does it all and is pretty good, but her true passion would be agility.
In Bryn's first two trials, she Q'd a total of 14 runs out of a possible 17!! Not bad for 18 months old!!
All in all, Bryn has been a wonderful addition to all our lives and continually amazes us with her intelligence and intuition. She makes us want more Border Collies, but at the same time she has spoiled us as we are not sure that there is another like her out there.
