Robin is from Rising Sun Farm in Minnesota

I had been suggesting to Darren that it was time for him to get a young border collie.  He told me he didn't want a puppy, wanted something around a year old.  I scoured rescue sites for months, and as usual, kept checking Becky and Steve's website to see what they had.

When Robin appeared on their website, I was very taken . . . but he was RED!  Everytime I surfed looking for a youngish dog for Darren, I kept coming back to this young lad.  I suggested Darren go down to Minnesota and meet him and see what he thought.

Lo and Behold, I got the phone call from Minnesota telling me Darren was bringing Robin home with him.

Robin and Darren arrived home May 18.  What a lovely little dog Robin is! He is just a wee fella, around 18" tall.  He is a striking dark mahogany red, very stunning young guy.

He was thrown into life with a 3 year old, an 18 year old cat and 8 other siblings.  He has been excellent in all this.  He also travelled with us to the Regional Championships 2 weeks after we got him, at which he did loads of visiting, lots of treats and handled the stress filled environment of this type of event in stride.

Again, thanks to Steve and Becky for another (the 3rd!!) dog we have gotten from them.  Between that and allowing us the use of both Spot and Shep, they have been wonderful supportive friends.

Robin is double bred on the Spot line, which thrills me as I adored Spot.

As he has matured, he has developed a simlar long, silky coat go Jaymee and his sire, Spot.  It is just stunning to watch his mane flow as he moves!

Robin has been busy training for agility and flyball, and is doing awesome!  I recently used him as my only demo dog at a contact workshop i taught, and he was king of the demo's!  He loves people, can still be a bit wary the odd time, but generally is quite happy to go visit with anyone.

Robin went into the lanes in june to start his run backs.  He was a bit insecure to start with as he wasn't used to the flyball tournament atmosphere, but by the end of the weekend he was starting to work it.

More updates as this wonderful young fella progresses.
