About Us
Our household consists of Darren, Kimberley, Brayden, 8 Border
Collies, 1 Jack Russell Terrier, a cat and 2 Quarter Horses. We live together on our little corner of the
world - 10 acres just North West of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Darren and Kimberley train for and compete in a variety of sports -
Agility, Flyball, Herding, Obedience and Rally O. All of our Border Collies are exposed to sheep and are worked
several times week.
Darren and Kimberley are both Masters level judges in the AAC.
Kimberley is also a CARO and CKC Rally O Judge, as well as a CKC Agility Judge.
All our animals are our family members. The dogs and cat all live in
the house with us, many of them sleep on our bed!

About Standsure
We have always loved all our furry family. I knew that one day I would like to breed, but also knew
it would have to be a very "special" gal. We had many wonderful dogs before we purchased Jynx, they all held our
hearts in their paws. With Jynx, everything changed for me.
Upon several years of research, I was directed by a very good friend, to a small kennel in
William's Lake, British Columbia - "Whistlejack Kennels". There I found what I was looking for in a breeder. After
chatting with Sandy Stickney, and upon receiving a tape of the litter that was just born, my eye was caught by a
little split faced female, my heart thumpity thumped . . . there she was! My heart knew this wee being was my
Kindred Spirit. Unfortunately, this puppy was spoken for. I was heartbroken, but chose another lovely little female
from the same litter.
When I arrived in William's Lake to pick up my new family member, Sandy told me the split faced
female was available. I grabbed my Kindred Spirit - Whistlejack's Jynx On You. She was definitely my match in all
ways.
I lost Jynx in 2006, not a day goes by that I don't miss her, and although I still tear up when I
look at pictures of her or talk about her, it is with a smile on my face. This little lass left behind a legacy I
am very proud of. I see her in all her progeny, and I wake up some mornings knowing she had slept with me, as she
did when she was here.

Our Breeding Thoughts
At Standsure, we breed very selectively and, to date, have only had three litters. We generally
breed when we need up'n coming trial dogs. This means, we only breed every 4 - 6 years.
We place our puppies very selectively, we want both owners and puppies to have a long and happy
relationship with each other, as well as with us. We consider our puppies to be "our puppies" for their entire
lives. They always have a home with us.
We have a very strict, non negotiable contract. If you don't like the contract please don't contact
us as you won't be getting one of our puppies. Our contract was done with hours of research and a lot of thought
into what we wanted for our puppies and puppy people. The contract is in place to protect our puppy and both the
owner and breeder. Our contract is available through our Breedings link.
We don't ship our puppies. If you are interested in one of our dogs, be prepared to either drive or
fly here to pick him or her up.
All our dogs (breeding and non breeding) as well as puppies from our lines are eye checked. With
the inception of DNA testing for eyes, we have DNA tested our dogs. We do preliminary xrays on hips around 1 year
of age, and get them redone and the elbows done at 2 years for their final evaluation. We try to ensure we are
breeding the best possible dogs we can.
When purchasing a puppy from Standsure, you also get us with the deal. We are always here to help,
offer suggestions, encouragement and so on. We are always in contact with our puppy people, and are kept up to date
on their progress.
All of our dogs are worked on sheep. While we do not have a farm, we have gone to great lengths to
ensure our dogs are worked on stock. It is our belief that the Border Collie be kept the premier herding dog. It is
the breed's wonderful work ethic that keeps them at the top in the sport venues. Our dogs are conformationally
correct, meaning their physical structure is as a proper working Border Collie's structure should be.
Our dogs are powered by "BARF'. specifically Mountain Dog Food.
Darren, Brayden and I thoroughly enjoy our dogs and the way they enrich our lives. They are great
companions, best friends and our closest family.
Thank you for vising us.
Kimberley Anderson, Brayden and Darren Plummer
